"We are sharing this so others know...there is always hope. Don't give up. Don't be afraid to ask for help. The rewards are priceless!!! She is going great! So much less pulling. She is much more attentive to me and barely looks at a car. She is automatically sitting before I open the door and if I say 'stay' she waits to go out until I say 'ok'. AWESSOME. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR WONDERFUL HELP!!!" ---Beth, Whitehall

Dog Blessed LLC was formed to strengthen canine/human relationships and work with area shelters and rescue groups to help keep dogs in their homes or get a new chance at the life of love and security they deserve.
Training is focused on helping dog owners better understand their dogs and teaching them how they want them to behave in their home and out in the community. Through enhanced communication and training, dogs and people can spend many happy years together.
Our instructors describe themselves as addicted to studying dog behavior, canine nutrition, and health and they love helping other dogs develop their full potential.
Paula A. Smith, MSA, CPDT-KA, CCFC, founded Dog Blessed LLC in 2103 after seeing that the largest reason for dogs being surrendered was a lack of training. She believes strongly that training can keep families together. Paula is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Certified Canine Fitness Coach, Certified Parkour Instructor, and a Fear Free Certified Professional. Paula earned a BS from Grand Valley State University and a MSA from Central Michigan University.
Paula has volunteered at a number of local dog rescue organizations and served on various boards. Currently she serves as the President of the Muskegon Humane Society.
Paula is a AKC CGC & Trick Evaluator and her passion is helping dogs be fear free, especially shy and reactive dogs and helping people understand their dogs and communicate with them. She also loves teaching Nosework and Agility to help build teamwork.
Paula's dogs have titled in AKC, UKC, CPE, NACSW, DMWYD, International Dog Parkour Association, Cyber Rally-O, and APDT in Nosework, Agility, and Rally, Trick, Therapy, Canine Good Citizen, Conditioning, and Parkour.
Paula lives in Montague with her husband and rescued dogs, Pepper and Eli.
